Actually, auto captions is more accurate since it is youtube. Auto subtitles are usually for movie or presentation. They are the same thing tho, You should see the auto caption for Japanese language, they are totally out of whack

Frankly speaking, I think it's marketing BS If the car rolls over, the least we worry about is how the door opens. Not sure about space issue because there's sliding door mechanism as the real solution. It's for look and scissor door looks cool for sure.

I highly doubt scissor doors were for safety when they introduced it, more likely the wow factor, to be bold and different. Why choose the boring red car when you can have a pirate spaceship. I loved Captain Harlock as a kid! A decade ago I purchased the DVD set of the 80's series.

It's Voltes V aired in like around 1977 by Bandai Captain Harlock was also aired the year after that. More famous than Voltes I think.

Grendizer was one of the robots in Mazinger series. Very popular in Japan. I remember watching these on VHS, oh the good ol days
