Is this what happend to “your” aventador?

I'm a little upset thinking there was a possibility I'd get an Aventador for a reasonable price. If the car was actually repaired with the insurance pay out.

Such a waste to neglect such a beautiful orange car. I'm sure the car was over revved wearing out the engine to see flammes if it was actually straight piped. These idiots abused the car and are now blatantly trying to dupe someone. Even the dealer is dishonest, it's not surprising I never met an honest one. They are incompetent so they have to resort to these kind of tactics to succeed in making money.

There is also a good possibility an insurance company may seize & impound the car when they open a fraud investigation. Too much risk. It happened before with McLaren auto repair in Ontario just two years ago.

I got word from another guy, the car had a mileage blocker, it had another accident where the paint didn't match. I suspected a mileage blocker too because the mileage was so low, why several owners buy a car and each one park it? The seat stitching is excessively worn and doesn't match the mileage at all.

Allegedly it was tracked and the mileage also reanfirms when I looked at the brake pads they were a lot thinner than the mileage proclaimed.

I have a feeling a piston or two may have a hairline crack at this point. Kind of curious what borescope inspection may reveal.

Very interesting read and it's too bad that Aventador coupe didn't work out. Luzifer, if you're in Canada, have you looked at this one? I don't know if this dealership has a good reputation or not, but if you're ok with a roadster, it may be worth a look:

Used 2014 Lamborghini Aventador for sale in Saint-Eustache, starting at $449,995

It says no accidents and the condition does appear to be very nice (at least based on the photos). Price is a bit high. But I wonder if this is an actual clean example. It's too bad there's no Carfax available as it would be interesting to see the ownership history/service records.

Overall It's very nice, it looks like it has a body kit but it's not a shade of orange that I like, I think it's arancio argos. It's over my budget and I will never buy a spyder. I will disintegrate into ash like a vampire in the sun. I took the targa top off the Vette twice to see, it didn't last more than 10 minutes before I put it back on. Since driving the A I would only buy one if it falls within my budget because the Huracan drives so much better.

Another thing many say only buy a 2015 or newer because they fixed a lot of issues.

They had other 2 Gallardos on the lot left out in the rain and in the evening a big snowstorm. They have a lot of cars for sale from what I can see, if an official dealer won't take them that probably means they need to be inspected even more.

I haven't met an honest dealer yet either official or independant. An indy dealer with so many cars in this country is dubious. Where does all the cash come from? Unless they are mostly consignment cars.

I find this day in age, you can smell the bullshit within the first 60 seconds of interacting with someone

I bet I busted the dream bubble of this car for you too, like it did for me?

Maybe I'll disclose the last bit of info from a private tip. It won't change anything just reaffirming it's a mouse trap.

You mean there's even more stories to that orange car? Oh man, I feel for whoever gets suckered into buying it.

When the potential buyer flew to go see it in 2021 at Lambo Montreal :

Cracks on the rocker panels
Missing screws in the frunk
Front bumper repainted when the car was new
14,429 km in 2016 but in 2021 the mileage was exactly the same. No way in 5 years it didn't move at all.
It showed an error with the odometer
The buyer backed out when he saw this
Lambo Montreal later updated carfax and mileage was more consistent after that (2021)

There's more related shady things (Not about this car though) but I will not say publicly.

Mileage discrepancy in 2016, a 5000 km difference in one day. A mileage blocker?
So from 2016 to 2025 it was driven less than 2000 km, what a cluster Fock.... With worn out bolsters, sure sure.

There is no need to hold back from reporting bad cars. Reporting the VIN helps ensure that no one else has to experience the same scam. Under the law, truthfully reporting factual information is not libel or defamation. Kudos to @Carcollector and @Luzifer for taking the stand against these scammers.

It doesn't stop them from filing a defamation lawsuit. Just putting this thread together could potentially cost me a fortune to defend myself. However the insurance would be thrilled in finding out about the non existent repair/payout.

They are bound by the forum's terms and agreements. I will not allow any legal threats. If anyone here has any problems with these scammers, let me know and I can have my lawyers address them.
