Nah no winter sports. How about you?

I'm too busy with so many things now. I've been spending every weekend since August fixing the old garage that was extended half assed. That included gutting walls, digging and forming concrete foundation & floor all by hand and vinyl siding on 2 sides etc. This winter I repaired the C7 front splitter, put some wheel spacers to make the wheels flush. Now I'm updating the bedroom, I replaced the floor last weekend and now painting the room.
A bit of skiing here and there but not very often. I'm not a big fan of cold weather and thus cold weather sports don't appeal to me much. That's cool that you can tackle all those projects yourself. Do you have an epoxy coating on your garage floor or what did you go with? I had mine done in a grey epoxy finish not too long ago and I am pretty happy with the result. We'll see how it holds up.

I'm always amazed at those who have nice looking garages that look like a showroom.

My very old garage is small filled with tools to fix vehicles and loaded with construction tools and supplies. It's also my work shop so it's bare concrete.

Driving season has officially begun!

It was a warm day the pavement dry most potholes patched. I thought to myself another week before going for a drive. I took an afternoon nap and went outside to swap out the winter tires from the van, the warmest temperature since 2025 at 16C. I heard and saw 2 speed bikes drive on the boulevard and thought to myself to hell with the tires this is it I'm going for a drive. I quickly went online, renewed the plates and insurance on the C7, took the cover offs and started it up.

Back to the original question does it make your life better, it sure does. It boosted my morale as it hasn't been great since last July. Not 3 minutes in getting on the boulevard I ended up in the middle of a pack of fast bikes, there were probably 10 of them. They were checking the car out and one of them wanted to race on the on ramp. Some women were hanging on tight behind their boyfriend. The guy who wanted to race did a wheelie while accelerating on the on ramp. It was pretty brave of him because it was probably everyone's first outing of the season.

I was quite surprised I got several thumbs up, guys in pick up trucks craned their necks, some teens took pictures of the car when I got out to go in a store. A few terraces had opened up, usually mondays during summer the tables are pretty much empty but since it's the first warm day after winter the tables had people sitting with their jackets on. Even JDM and beater car enthusiasts had gathered outside a coffee shop.

I can't wait to go pick up the orange car!

Great to hear, happy for you, that first drive of the season is always special. But I must say that's very brave to take your winter tires off already if your local weather is as bad as you claim. Does it never snow in April? Looks like there's still a fair bit to melt yet.

Thanks for that perspective Luz.
Yesterday My wife and I took my daughter back to college, about a 2 hour drive. Ended up being about 65°F (18°C). We took my wifes Trackhawk, I had put the summer wheels/tires back on it last week. Just cruising on the hwy and a younger guy in a beat up pick-up comes up along one side, gives the thumbs up, then comes around the other side, thumbs up again, then motions to 'step on it' so I floored it, 65mph to 105mph scarily fast. Never saw the guy again, haha. It was fun, felt good.
Dropped daughter, picked up my cybertruck (at a local collision center near her college) and took a leisurely back road route home to enjoy the views. Only got flipped off once which was nice.
The nice weather really makes it fun to drive the fun cars. Also crazy the stark difference between love and hate that the Trackhawk vs the Cybertruck gets.

Snow is pretty much done in April and if there's falling snow it melts when it hits the ground or a few hours later or a day later. There's not much difference in traction from my summer tires and the crappy winter studed tires I have on.

If only you could handle their middle finger with an electrical bug zapper. That would be satisfying.

In the area the haters are usually pick up truck drivers when they see the Vette. I don't get as much attitude in the Lambo. I wonder why.

I feel like the cyber truck gets extra hate just because its different then anything else on the road.
The different look in itself doesn't attract the hate, the look makes it super easy to spot, and since it became a polarizing political statement, it's an easy target.
Back when the economy went south in 2008 or so, the Hummers got the same hate. People saw them as an excess when times were tough. They were easy to spot and were, by a large margin, the most vandalized vehicle on the road.
