I saw you asked the question about the race exhaust for the 610–4 on the other forum. It was not an option that you could check when ordering the car. It was dealer installed and in fact they made you sign a waiver stating that you would not drive the car on the street only the track. Which I find hilarious. $10,000 installed.

I have one brand new that I paid $7000 for a couple years ago off of eBay. I didn't anticipate finding a car with the race exhaust already on it as they are pretty rare, but I did .

Yes, you’re correct, it wasn’t a factory option but was dealer installed. It originally came out in 2017, and the dealer needed everyone to sign a waiver as well.

I sent Shardul (@SRM Autosports) to Luzifer a couple of weeks ago, but I’m not sure if he has the original in stock.

If you have one for sale, feel free to use the 'Cars & Parts For Sale or Wanted' section to post it with photos and the usual details. Also, since it’s from eBay, it would help to provide some assurances that the exhaust is accessori originali, including typical markings and serial numbers.

You are correct. I just looked at the invoice and it was from April 2017. It was actually $8830 installed. I am probably going to hold on to the exhaust as I would like to get another Huracan down the road. It does have the accessori originali stamp and serial number.

Whoah another 610 or 580? That's awesome! 😎

They don't make that race exhaust no more. So, yeah it should be worthwhile to hold on, especially if you are getting another. I'm still running the factory sport titanium but this is nothing compared to the factory race exhaust.

610. I know it makes no sense to have 2 but I figure life is short. The 2nd one is 3 years away approximately.

I want a Blu Cepheus with the bronze Narvi's. As a matter of fact, I'm about ready to pull the trigger on the wheels just like I did the race exhaust proactively.

The factory sport sounds nice, but the race exhaust is definitely on another level. It really makes the car for me.

If you have the chance, can you take a picture of the exhaust and part number/serial number. Do they have valves?

I haven't found much details about it. Here's what I've gathered though.

Cold Start decibel sport vs race exhaust (10 dB difference)

Sport : 92dB@4000
Part Number : 4T0 251 609 A

Race : 102dB@4000
Part Number : 4T0 298 107
10% lower weight compared to the stock exhaust.

I got a PM from him if I was looking for an aftermarket exhaust. Not interested in aftermarket.

I also read the 2015 exhaust (not race obviously) is already louder than later years. I should get myself a decibel reader and check it out. I'm okay with my sports exhaust, it's crazy to see some people already have their phones up by the time I get to them, I bet they hear it from a good distance away.

Not the best pics, if you need more detailed pics of a certain part let me know. Regarding the valves, I'm really not sure. But by looking at it. I don't think it has them.

Cool it has valves! Valves circled in red. So that means you can close them and make it more quiet when needed. I never had so many police cars behind me, valves closed in strada is a must!

Gotcha, I had no idea what I was looking at 😂. Strada does quiet it down considerably. In sport and corsa it is obnoxiously loud. But I love it!

That 102db is only 7db louder than noise law (typically 95db). 7db is like the sound produced when you breathe. I think the race exhaust should be standard.

The pops and bangs are definitely more pronounced as well. I wish it was lighter though.

The valves are vacuum actuated. The canister is probably an air chamber with a disc in it to push and pull the rod to the valve.

I just ordered this decibel meter, My build sheet stated a sports exhaust but the original owner checked every box there was and was also into car motorsport. I'm going to test it out in a few weeks to see if he put in a factory race exhaust in the car. I'll have to tape it I guess to the bumper or zip tie it to the grill and hopefully I don't lose it.

i've heard that everyone loves this factory race exhaust. I can't imagine it would be too terribly different/better sounding than the aftermarket versions that all seem to sound the same. I would love to hear aftermarket vs factory race exhaust side by side someday. I have a Avior exhaust on my 610. I had Avior on my Gallardo Performante as well and was very happy with it also. Realistically, i love the current sound of my Huracan so much that theres almost no way I would ever make a change.

The factory race exhaust is special. I was fortunate to have one on my previous LP610-4. I can tell you it was louder and sounded better than the stock exhaust on my HP (which many regard to be one of the best sounding Huracan variants in OEM form). I can't speak to the comparison vs aftermarket exhaust on the Huracan platform as I haven't heard any in person.

With a race exhaust that boasts 102 decibels I wonder if it's on the cold start or when it's in the high RPM range?

Definitely high RPM range. The cold start isn't too crazy on the race exhaust.

I did some decibels tests today and now I'm convinced I have a race exhaust.

Standard exhaust 88 dB
Sports exhaust 92dB
Race exhaust 102dB

Background story, the original owner had a ton of money from an inheritance from his wealthy father. The guy also raced cars and last he took every option available when he specced the car. This part is a theory of mine he might of test driven the press car that had a race exhaust on it and wanted one installed, same dealer, only a few months apart of the production build. Specs of the cars are almost identical.
At the few car shows I attended my hearing lead me to believe my car was way louder than the other Huracans and now I can confirm it.

One of the test, I tied the decibel meter on the back grill, I drove around twice but I couldn't get a reading because the meter turned off. The meter must have an automatic shut off after a few minutes. I will try it again on a short stretch.

Here are the results of the other tests I did.

Accuracy of the device :
+-1.5 dB (94db@1KHz)
+-5 dB (94db@8KHz)

Overnight cold start 116.3 dB

1776549419122.jpeg

over an hour drive, I parked the car and tried to gently rev it to 5000 rpm and got 119.5 dB

1776549503534.jpeg

Then I tried inside the cabin with windows down while accelerating to 70 km/hr. I was holding the meter at the window, 116.3 dB.
1776549749235.jpeg

This test that I will have to try again, the device kept shutting off. However the instruction states you can select to save data, I'll try that next drive.
