Do most people prefer wings on a Huracan or the sleek look of no wing? In my opinion, I'm not a big fan of aftermarket wings. I liked my 610 with no wing, it looked very clean without one. I like the wing on my Perf only because it's functional for aerodynamic downforce and is a factory part and suits the aggressive styling and track nature of the car.

A buddy of mine is of the opposite opinion and prefers a wing on his Evo. He just installed his second aftermarket wing which is a bit taller and similar to Performante style:

He previously had the smaller wing seen here:

I've told him I think his Evo looks better without any wing at all and if he wants a wing he should've got a Performante!

What does everyone else think?

If I install a wing on my 580 without a deep front splitter, I'm pretty sure I can do a nice backflip with the car and earns a gold medal.

Seriously.

I think wings are best for models that come like that from the factory like Perf and STO. If you have driven these on the track, you know how important these wings are, but for lesser models on normal road...no thanks, it obscures the nice view of the back engine anyway.

I agree. I have the same opinion across other makes too. For example, Porsche Carrera GT, GT3RS etc. the wings look good and suit these more aggressive models that come equipped like this from the factory. I think it looks very out of place when people slap a big wing on an otherwise stock base model Huracan.

I wrote about this in the Huracan Body Kits thread, I like wings on some cars, not all cars, however none of the aftermarket look good plus if I ever find one it will not fit the design of the sleek looking H unless you go full on body kit. The only wing I like it the one on the STO.

Most H wings look like like seagull wings to me, atrocious.

I think the 610 can run a wing without a front splitter because it's AWD. The wing shifts the balance to the rear, but the front drive keeps it in check. On RWD, that's a hard no unless you are on death wish. Personally, that thing blocks view. I want to have nice lunch and coffee while staring at its inside, I mean engine.

Another downside of wings, you are going to hate when you have to work in the engine bay or when checking the oil, an obtrusive hinderance.

Speaking of looking, do you guys enjoying looking at your car? I particularly like when I walk back to it from a distance. My favorite is just before complete darkness are the W ___W headlights(or as Lambo calls them double YY__YY) .

My fitness equipment like treadmill is on the other side of the garage, so after a good workout I enjoy sitting and admiring it while catching my breath. I tried playing a violin next to it once for my Youtube channel, but the garage acoustics was so terrible with sounds bouncing all over epoxy surface, like a running lawnmower inside a bathroom.

I don't find that the wing obstructs my rear view at all, I don't even notice it when looking back. But it's absolutely true that it does obstruct the engine bay when the bonnet is open. It also makes detailing a bit more difficult. While on this topic, one extra design feature I've always enjoyed on the Perf engine bonnet is the extra vents at the bottom. It really adds to the more aggressive look vs just the plain glass on the 610 model.

Ah that's the perk of being tall. For a tiny Asian like me, I can see through that straight pipe without bending.

I'm just over 6'1, so not super tall, but for the Huracan I'm getting close to the comfort limit. I'd say 6'2-6'3 would be absolute max in this car if you don't want to hate your life. I am fortunate my car has the carbon race bucket seats which do provide a bit of extra headroom compared to comfort seats.
