Ow, you're probably just humble. Everybody has their own charm

I think the Japanese are very welcoming to tourists, as long as they are not being destructive or obnoxious. While wearing a mask is not required, it is considerate to wear one indoors, especially inside buildings or when using public transit. I've seen some tourists (mostly tourists from rural PRC) speaking loudly on public transit, sneezing without a mask, teenagers sitting in seats reserved for the elderly, staring at people and taking videos without consent. Once a Chinese tourist took a video of me while sitting minding my own business (like iphone pointed straight to my face), inside shinkansen. I gave her an icy glare before she ran away. LOL

I love the acceptance of masks in Japan - very civilized! One of my favorite places to visit for sure.

Ah, two weeks with the new car, and...got problems with flying gravels. They didn't dent the front bumper, only small tiny chips. Not entirely visible. I think it has something to do with the design of the front bumper. As you can see, the bottom section is like a spoiler that scoops the front air up for aerodynamics. I think it scoops gravels from the under too

I'm getting the front windshield coated today so will talk with the Toyota engineers later. Maybe need some touchups and PPF. I hope it's not expensive.

Spoke to the engineer and to sum it up...there's nothing they can do about it LOL

They said it's plastic bumpers so it won't rust. If it doesn't look bad, there's no need to fix it. Also, he said nobody really put PPF on bumpers for this car. What!?

I'll be taking photos and sending them to Toyota's CEO. Maybe they'll listen. If not, I won't sweat it I suppose.

We are accustomed with PPF because we want to protect our sports cars but they must surely think it is way out of the ordinary to PPF a utilitarian passenger car. Very unlikely people do this and put more money into a vehicle, he must think you are a little over the top.
