Completely insane, he was badly burned and they never refunded his deposit. What an evil company.

If he was standing on passenger side of the car and caught flames, the engine’s fuel line was definitely leaking and ignited by the spark plugs or even live battery. $20 million sounds cheap.

It said they didn't put the fuel rail back on so that means it was cranking fuel all over the engine, probably ignited by the exhaust or rogue spark. Maybe the article wasn't accurate? I doubt he'll get 20 million, courts seem to award very low amounts from random other cases I've heard. It seems like you have to prove with receipts you really need that much compensation.
