So my Lamborghini dealer has a February 21 event where selected customers can test drive a Revuelto with a professional race driver.
I figured why not and submitted the online application. After that, I texted my usual salesman to confirm. He replied that February 21 at noon was open. I responded that it was fine on my end.
Minutes later, he called me and said that the entire day was actually already reserved. However, he reassured me that he could offer a private test drive with him on some later dates, schedule to be decided.
At that point, it felt like I was being toyed with, so I told him it was fine and not to worry about it.
Then, out of nowhere, he called and texted again saying he had successfully secured February 21 at noon for me after all.
At that point I politely declined for good.
The whole thing felt like a sales routine designed to make it seem as if he was doing me a favor. I am not comfortable with that kind of tactic. If something is available, say it is available. If it is booked, keep it booked.
With gold prices going through the roof, I could have exchanged some for one if I like the test drive. After this experience, I doubt I will buy one.
Hopefully he understands now that I do not respond well to BS, and that being straight and honest works far better with me than manufactured drama.
Why most of these car salesman are morons?
