I haven't driven many other cars, is it actually true they ramped up a lot of "nannies" or some say less dangerous?

100% truth. All generations of almost all cars get more and more nannies on every version. Take the 1G viper and compare it to the last gen viper.
Adding the nannies allows the added horsepower to be used by more people. I wish there was a way to tun them completely off.

I never turned the nannies off the Corvette so I wouldn't know the difference. I just know even with them I got scared several times, I don't want to tempt an accident with a telephone pole. But I do have a performance throttle body in combination with a gas pedal controller, these made a huge difference in throttle response otherwise the car seemed so damn slow on accelerations, without them I would sell the car.

As for the H I never turned it off either, I don't feel the need to take it off. I wonder the difference when you switch off whatever it allows.
