I was able to do 2 very short drives earlier this month with my C7 but today was starting to get warm and people were finally taking their cars out even though it's very dusty until they sweep the streets.

People are acting crazy at the beginning of spring when they see the car, the other day at a red light I saw in my rear view mirror a female passenger taking pictures, the guy kept weaving traffic following me closely until I got some room on the freeway where I decided it was enough, he couldn't keep up.

This afternoon a pickup truck with a trailer just ahead of me was acting crazy when he saw me. He was accelerating at each intersection so fast trying to impress me or something, he did this for several streets getting close to hitting the curbs the trailer bobbing and swaying. Next at another red light a minivan right beside me with a V6 of something started revving straining the poor engine at least a half dozen times. After that more cars trying to race including a C7 Z06.

I guess they had enough of this long winter and acting like young colts. Many people were eating out on terraces 15C/59F!

Finally in the evening I saw my first super sport car of the year, this SF90 and 2 R8s on the other street. I once again saw the fake kit car countach... I had enough of winter too next weekend I think I'll go wake up the chariot of pumpkins.

Look at the diffuser fins, some have cut outs.

Glad you had memorable drives this early Spring. It's good that you ignored the stupid pickup truck.

I've been taking my car out too, on the weekends. Most of the time I got nice response. People were taking lots of photos. But occasionally, got a few nuts here and there. They went nuts after seeing the car for some reason. Like they have something to prove.

Last week a neighbor camped at the far spot of nearby land on weekend just so he could see my car coming out from my garage. Yeah very cringy. I don't have close neighbor (proximity wise) as the closest one is like 300 meters away. And he came by trying to talk to me too. I sensed some jealousy in his tone, during a short conversation with him, so I'm thinking to build a nice wall that blocks views around my property. Jealousy is something I watch out very carefully because this sin is hard to control for average human LOL

The guy camped with a tent?

A wall, that'll be expensive!

He didn't literally camp there with a tent, but he was there from the very early morning, on the weekend, doing some farming. He works as a tea farmer. He lived nearby. Other farmers were not there and especially not on the weekend morning :)

Long time ago (like 10 years ago), there was another farmer (he lives like 1.5km away) that liked to sit next to my property entrance like a guardman. I build a tower gate without fence at the entrance & never seen him ever since. I think he got the message. Some Japanese are weird.

A builder quoted me around $20k for a fancy half square-like wall (8 meters & 6 meters side by side). Height of 1.6 meters. So expensive!

Maybe I should just build cheaper ones like wire walls and put big stones inside (like stone wall with wire holders). I can't just build normal fence because of strong winds and risk of typhoon.

I'm taking the opportunity to showcase a few cars from 2024 I hadn't posted.

I saw this orange beauty so I searched many many streets to find a parking spot, the area is alway jammed packed when it's nice out. I thought to myself it would be so cool to have 2 orange cars but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to fit in it though because it's so compact. I couldn't park behind it for comparison shots so this is all I could get, a side mirror shot. :p

As I was photographing the car, two women walking by one said to the other, "that's a rich guy's car it $300 000!" They stopped near me to look at it so I answered to them it wasn't 300k but in the vicinity of 80K... They were astonished, the estimate was way off.

Yeah, people are always blown away how 'cheap' the Exige and Elise are. People assume my Exige is a $100k USD car all the time, haha. At Work.jpg

That car is beautiful! I love the red wheels, the whole package actually. Are parts hard to get when you need to repair something?

I actually saw one exige driving near my house week. I believe it was white. Man, Japanese like white cars.

The gov was visiting nearby museum and people were flocking to see with their fancy cars. I was driving 'away' from the vicinity though because I don't fancy gov officials and their politics. I bet people were surprised when they saw a Lambo too. Some of them in black suits were staring at mine. Of course, I stared at them back LOL

I took out the H out of storage last week and afterwards it was craziness. My rear tire had deflated almost completely during these last months probably due to the puncture I got last summer. I parked to inflate it, a strange dude walked by, not completely sober or sane I'm not sure which, calling out orange crush, acting weird with more comments that I didn't grasp due to the compressor noise.

Next I got the usual where people were pulling theirs phone out taking pictures. Sometimes I got thumbs up or "love the car" comments. I was at a red light and out of nowhere this guy popped his face inches away from my driver's window peeping into the 1.5" crack I usually leave open, he exclaimed "Ah forget it", he trotted back to some car out back. I never open my window more than a few inches since I learned the hard way a few years ago when my windows were down in the Corvette, a homeless guy completely put his torso through the passenger side mumbling stuff about the car.

I waved to a fellow H owner, a gray Evo...

I exchanged a few words with the couple of this 720s. At last just cruising on the highway taking pictures of the sunset a car purposefully stopped beside me opened his window, he and his girlfriend flailing arms. Another spot this guy in front of me his left arm out the window motioning me to launch it. Ah no...

I went for a ride or two this week more people were acting crazy. By the way check your blindspot twice, I was inches from crashing into another car when I wanted to change lane, the guy was following me to observe the car.

Looks like you had a memorable drive. I love friendly signs and waves.

I have had more trouble with bikes than with cars when I am driving. Some riders like to creep around the car and they are hard to see, not to mention extremely squishy. Just last week, a biker kept trailing my car. I sped up to get away but he made a serious effort to catch up. When he finally pulled up beside the passenger window I could tell he was trying to look inside. Maybe an off-duty cop checking the car? I had a bad feeling about the moment, so I floored the Lambo and took the nearest exit. Honestly, some Japanese can be a real creep.

Sunday evenings when most people have gone home, the hustle and bustle has died down, it is a special time for me where I have the streets to myself...

In 2021 when I started the journey to save up for this chariot of pumpkins I had spotted this black Huracan, I was excited because it was one of the first H I spotted in the wild. I was thrilled to see it parked to be able to photograph it with my first sports car, a C7, I must of spent a full hour admiring it and taking pictures. I have spotted it several times since and this time it's the culmination of discipline.

Even the sunset winked at me tonight, a nod to the chariot of pumpkins!

A very cold day.... Sad to think in one month days are going to shorten and we only had 2-3 days of warm weather. Forecast says next 4 days is rain rain rain.

Last week there's a place where I like to cross a short tunnel upshifting from 1st to 2nd gear with a roar of tremendous exhaust explosions, I looked in my rear view mirror to see a blue Huracan. It's very rare to see them on the move.

And while I was taking a call, this orange Urus drove by...

After I offered the Ferrari club to scout a road for an upcoming event, it was such a fun ride the air cool and crisp, I rarely have my windows all the way down so my face can stay concealed but it muffles the exhaust sound, I was enjoying the engine noise it was a rare treat.

I spotted this Humvee beast after my tour, while taking pictures of it a teen came by asking if the car on the street was mine. He proceeded to talk about his dad's US military truck which I already knew are extremely rare and because they are not legal. He told me it had been parachuted in Afghanistan at some point.

He asked me if I could park alongside so he could take pictures of them together, then his dad came out of the store to chat a bit.

Huracans were abundant this evening, an NSX and a GT3RS.

Looks like they are numbered based on the plaque in the rear glass.

Looks like you had lots of fun @Luzifer. As for myself, the car was transported to my dealership for service and for outrageous 2 years registration tax. Service is going to be around $4k plus the greedy country wanted around $3k for whatever registration tax :)

@Sakura I pay around $850 for registrations every year.

For 4K for servicing what does it include?

Engine oil, gear oil, back tires, and whatever lambda pins bs change. I think I don't need to change gear oil as I did this just two years ago and have barely driven it. Also, no to lambda pins as these prob have been used 5-6 times over their lifespan and should last 20-30 years. For tires, I'm going to do it at my local shop at half the price.

What are lambda pins?

Gear oil you mean transmission/gearbox oil? If so it rarely needs to be replaced.

They are basically plugs for O2 sensors. No need to replace sensors until 100k miles or so. Mine is like 25% into its lifespan...and the pins are only for plugging into diagnostic computer which prob would never ever break.
