So what are your favorite movies? How about your preferred genres? Do you collect memorabilia?

For me I have a collection of DVD war movies from all over the world. I also like science fiction, horror, suspense and many more. The golden era of movies for me were something along the line of 1978 to 1995.

I don't have much memorabilia except a bunch of Red Dawn movie posters, again from all over the world and some rare press release photos. I also have 2 Hellraiser cubes.

My favorite movie would have to be Tron Legacy (2010), I was sad when it ended and got of of the theater in the bright sunlight. I was sad I had came back to reality. The recent Tron really frustrated me because they ruined it by making it "woke". I'm fed up of their gibberish toxic feminist agenda.

Probably my favorite movie of all time is District 9. Filmed so well, seemed like it could have really happened.
I enjoy a lot of different genres, SciFi, comedy, action, thriller. Not much of a horror fan, but I'll watch them. Wife forces RomComs on me periodically which I sit through and enjoy the comedy.
A close second to District 9 is the old Rocketeer movie with Billy Cambell. I have a poster from when it came out, and I've recently acquired a Helmet replica made from the same mold the movie helmet was made from. I'd love to get a rocket pack one day, but the metal ones are crazy expensive.

I liked District 9, a very intelligent movie. If I remember correctly it was supposed to be a whole different thing.

I don't think I've seen Rocketeer but I have played the Rocket Ranger game when I was a kid, however I was a little too young to understand how to play the strategy and would die shortly after. I wish I would of understood it to complete it.

I'm a Trekkie, so pretty much all Star Trek movies and series. The Next Generation and Picard series are the best.

Of course there are many other great movies out there that I like too, but Star Trek always have a special place in my heart.

I also like romantic love stories and the best in this genre is Sleepless in Seattle. No other love stories came close to this.

I watched a lot of Star Trek too, the original series, Next Generation, Deep space Nine. However and strangely enough I didn't like any of the movies.

The series were very well written with interesting stories, teachings, and some work on computers and mechanics. They stayed well within the story arc without trying too hard to impress.

On the other hand, I think the movies were subpar because the writers were pressed to deliver. So they put in Hollywood-style stories with too much actions and make up. The antagonists were hardly believable like officer turned alien and story going woke like saving a whale for whatever. And when the movies crashed and burned, they just ditched the story arc saying its from another "timeline" :)

All time for me -The Rock would be my favorite, Gone in 60 seconds as a close runner up.

District 9 was very good indeed. Wish they would finally finish District 10.

For SciFi has to be Edge of Tomorrow.

While were talking about movies, what did you all think about the Lamborghini movie?
For me, it was meh. Missed opportunity, big time. Was hoping for more or of a ford vs. Ferrari or Rush type of movie. Fell asleep twice trying to get through it.

That Lamborghini movie was quite memorable for me. I am not easily amused but that was the time I rejoiced....for the fast forward button. The two cars racing was the only good part. I was certain the script writers were drunk.

Oh yes...I'm a total Trek nerd as well. All the movies were great in some way, but I always think of Star Trek as television. While TNG and Picard were better, I'm really enjoying the new series. Excited for the last season of Strange new worlds. I enjoyed discovery. I was really disappointed they cancelled Academy. I try to not too think too hard of the obvious woke storylines and just enjoy the technological entertainment.

Yes!! WhenTF is District 10 coming?? It was only going to be a 3 year trip for Christopher to return. They totally missed the ball on the next movie being 3 years after the first.

I've not yet seen the lamborghini movie....not sure why, just kinda fell off my radar. Was hoping it would be like FordVFerrari.....I really liked that one.

I liked the Lambo movie but it wasn't great. It was clear they never intended it to make it exciting or target a young audience, they made it in a documentary style in an old fashion way. It felt like those old French movies that the main focus is just blabbing on and on or just like plopping reheated sysco food onto prison trays. Oh wait we get the same sysco slop in restaurants today.

When I heard the reviews I made sure to only watch it when it became free.

My favorite Sci Fi is Blade Runner, I've watched it many many times and everytime I do I notice extra hints and nuances.

Also along the same line, Aliens from Ridley Scott including the Prometheus/Engineers. Anyone who's into that must watch Kroft talks about movies, he's a gold mine on the subject.

Another favorite of mine is Heat with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Tom Sizemore etc. That one too I've watched a few dozen times.
