I dedicated my entire day to be with the car, I went to pick it up in the morning went back home to drop the covers, checked the oil etc. and off I went.

Even though it wasn't all that warm at 8C it was an event alright. From the thumbs up, at least 2 kids and one guy staring with mouths gaping or people motioning to rev it (which I don't do unless it's for kids) and the comments throughout the day. One guy said "very nice car but I prefer red or black". I was also followed several times on the highway. Sometimes though it was a nuisance when they stay side by side trying to look in or try to show off trying to race you. Back on the streets I saw a woman frantically searching her purse to find her phone to take a picture.

I was at a red light and a cop outside his car pulling security duty was snacking on something while checking the car out, that was amusing looking at him in the rear view mirror, he wasn't paying attention to his functions. I wish I had a vanity plate that read "COPBAIT". :p

Again on the highway a young woman as a passenger was frantically waving to me me and smiling. I went shopping to a few places and cars were circling around the vehicle or taking pictures. I also had a motorcycle following me to take a look weaving traffic to keep pace for several streets. I waited for darkness to go out for dinner, I parked on a quiet dark street and walked to my favorite restaurant.

On the way back home a pickup truck pulled over to let me pass then proceeded to pursue so I went in side streets to deter him from following me.

What a day!

Wow, looks like you had a wonderful day! It is truly satisfying when a day ends like that. All fun, no useless drama.

I do not think having a vanity plate like that is a good idea, LOL.

The photo looks great with the orange and black wheels under the street lights. It gives the car a mysterious look!

That sounds like a good time, early season drives are always fun. Didn't you say Huracans are more common than corvettes in your area? If that's the case, it's surprising the car still garners that much attention. I can relate to the rev thing, I get asked that a lot but rarely comply. But on the weekend a family in a truck pulled up next to me and the mom in the passenger side waved and gestured me to roll down my window. She said "my boys really love your car!". I looked in the back and there were 2 kids probably 3-5 years old. I asked if they wanted to hear the engine and they cheered so I gave it a rev. Kids really love these cars so it's always fun to make their day.

Great picture, the orange really shines. At least with tinted windows nobody can see you inside!

The reason I see more Huracans than Corvettes is because I'm out alot in the evening and also drive in hot spots where supercars hang out. For example the part's guy whom I gave a ride had never seen a Lambo in person and yet I had seen over 20 that summer.

Before the first festival as a spectator I don't remember ever seeing a Lambo or Ferrari in the wild. Once I got interested in those cars I started noticing them. Another example most women walk along parked supercars without noticing a thing, to them it's just another random car. When I was photographing a million dollar Porsche parked at a sidewalk the majority of people didn't look, they looked straight ahead.

The metallic orange also pops so people notice it among all the bland colored cars.

Right now it's 5 days straight of rain, I'll be out on friday evening because it's going to be warm at 22C after that it'll go back down to 3-8C and or rainy for the next week.

The tint isn't really dark in person, people can easily see through, I wish it was a shade darker like the Vette because some many guys pull right along me on the highway to stare and get your attention to race. That's a nuisance. Maybe I'll ask them to replace the teint when I have the PPF replaced.
