What about SpaceX… investing?

Not for me. That is no longer a civilian company with it heavily involved and used for military. Like Boeing or Mitsubishi. They are profitable but then there is karma. My opinion, of course.

There is a Japanese semiconductor company called Rapidus, established in 2022. It has support from the major companies like denso, kioxia, mufg bank, nec, ntt, softbank, sony, and toyota. It is currently considering IPO, so may be a company to watch out for.

Nvidia has mentioned that they are looking to partner with Rapidus this month. So they will soon get a very high-quality Japanese chip besides their locally produced Taiwan chip.

I think I will put some of my money there if they go IPO.

They should appear on the Japan Exchange Group website (https://www.jpx.co.jp/english/) under the company code 285A. The IPO period is from December 2024 to June 2025, meaning they could list on the stock exchange at any point within this timeframe. Currently, they said they are working on valuation for the IPO.

I predict their NAND flash memory will be heavily used for both civil and military drones. Future conflicts will increasingly rely on drones.

English:

Japanese (but you can use google translator):

Dec 18th is the set date for IPO!

Confirmed?

Yes! The initial price will come out on Dec 9th.

I think there will be around 50 million stocks available for the IPO. Toshiba will offer around 65% of that and another (Bain capital) will offer the rest.

I’m thinking to buy some, to test the waters.

Their stock value seemed to have reached the all low, so maybe a good gamble if there are no alternatives. It has lost about 70% of its value in the last couple of years. Their techs are mainly for space and not for wide consumers, which means they are hard to value as one cannot directly experience their tech. SpaceX has satellites and communications available to consumers. This company doesn't seem to have one.

Yes, it's smart investing in Japan now because the US economy is tanking with the tariffs wars. The Chinese are also investing heavily here. The next bubble will happen here and I'm pretty sure of it.

If you look at recent Japanese cars (besides Nissan of course), the cars are raising in quality over an already high reliability. High resale too. People would buy them still with whatever tariffs.

You should see our restaurants and stores. Waiting lines for tables and parking lots are full. I don’t know what a tanking economy looks like but I don’t think I’ve seen it yet.

Maybe things are different in other states.

That tariff is hitting the semiconductor and electronics industries hardest, with manufacturers already raising prices. Restaurants are usually the last to feel the effects since many items, like wine, can be sourced locally.

I have some experience in the restaurant business as family runs several Japanese restaurants in the States. People are still lining up but spending less, relying more on happy hour deals. It feels like the early days of the Lehman shock, though not as severe. Despite this, people seem to keep dining out, relying more on credit cards or loans when money gets tight.

The Fed has cut its growth forecast by about 0.5% while inflation rose 0.2%, with interest rates unchanged. It is similar to what happened in China before their economy tanked. Just my observation, of course.

How’s the economy in Sweden at the moment and projection?

I’ve read news yesterday that Trump is forcing to lower the FDR in the coming months. That usually means paper money will loose more value again due to rising inflation. Gold will skyrocket again and again. Maybe I should sell everything, go naked, and eat moss to buy more gold.

Off topic a bit, i realize...

I had some really nice stock market gains in my trading acct in 2025...that led to me "blowing" some cash and upgrading my fun car to the Huracan and the daily to a M3/M4. With the market dipping hard in 2026 due to this war situation and bouncing right back, does it make you want to just get out there and blow some $$$ too? I would imagine that the health of the stock market directly impacts the values of our beloved Lambo vehicles. Just rambling a bit cuz I'm bored LOL...any thoughts on any of this?

I don't know anything about stocks, all I know it's like gambling. I would hate myself for losing a large amount of money. Plus if you make money the government takes over 50% of the profits if I'm not mistaking.

I'm already upset, the money in my bank account I have to give over half of the interests to them at the end of the year. Just another servant with a ball and chain.
