Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Any big holiday plans this year, any New Year resolution?

I know I will try and see if there are any exotic car shows in other cities to participate in. It's more for the drive and sightseeing than standing around at the show. I get bored quickly once parked. I hope I can leave the car show after an hour or two.

I'm already excited for the festival, it's a blast to drive with 40+ Ferraris for an hour before lunch. Then a parade, next a street is closed off to do pulls for the crowd. Finally for two evenings cars are parked behind ropes with a bunch of volunteers to watch over the cars. Maybe this year I will participate in the event where you give people a ride for charity.

My mother is coming over, we have plans to make wild blueberry and apple pies to go along with more cooking.

Still taking clients this period while the competitors are closed for 2 weeks. The phone rings a lot more.

I told my mother about the orange Aventador. She said in a way not to buy any luxury car and save all your money. I replied yes it's important to save however I don't want to reach an age and say I regret not living my life ...

The watch collection, what I got for a comment, save your money. I guess they look expensive when they are not. :p

Very nice, a close match to the violin. Do you always play solo or in a group?

Thanks! sometimes solo, sometimes with piano accompaniment, and occasionally in a group. Group work is a bit of a hassle because everyone needs to rehearse together to stay in sync. For solo or violin and piano duets, I am the soloist, so I can set the pace.

One day, I might just hire a full orchestra to play for me as soloist. Maybe after I get really good :)

I think she is right, in a way. You already have a Lambo! Once you have the Huracan back from winter storage, I don't think you'll think about it.

The Aventador is nice, but it is a bit like moving from a high-end Rolex to a Patek. It may feel like an achievement to you, but most people do not really notice. 99% of people (ok I made up the percentage, but most people) cannot tell the difference between the models, and many even think they are Ferraris :)

Very true my mother and another woman who did many classic car shows thought the Aventador was the same car! Only young kids know the difference.

With the new bow you'll get your objective sooner.

It's a good analogy compared to watches, the Aventador with two extra throttle bodies, a super capacitor to be able to start the engine due to startup friction etc.

I watched a video the other day and it's tremendous work just to get to and replace the alternator you have to remove the rear shocks, the engine brace, discharge the AC, drain some coolant ,drain some oil, remove a fuel line, remove the belt pulley assembly.

Where is the huracan if I'm not mistaken when I looked at it it's pretty straightforward remove the belly pans and the alternator is right there between the firewall and engine. You still have to drain some coolant as the alternator is water cooled.

Some will argue but today is not really about Christmas, but actually the day of the Sun (solstice) as the days are getting longer. Three more months before I go for a ride!

Jesus: "Alright, solar event it is. I get the first ride in @Luzifer's Lamborghini this spring." :)

We have country music, we have classical :) This is the short version of devil's trill sonata. Basically it is inspired by a dream where @Luzifer the devil plays a violin.

Looks like it takes a lot of skill to play that one. On a difficulty scale how hard is it?

If level 5 is the maximum difficulty, the entire piece (around 12 minutes) is around level 3, and that two minute passage is closer to level 3.5. It sounded exceptional because David is a legendary player. His setup also plays a role with a rare $30 million Strad.

I would say Bach's Chaconne is the hardest. It is in a very dark D minor key and extremely exhausting to play.
