I think so to it's an ideal setup, the Corvette is my goto for groceries with a large trunk space and going on our week end road trips where I don't mind putting miles and easier to leave it parked. The H is a constant problem of where I can park it in view or hide it. The kids who were going to ram the car with a shopping cart was a wakeup call. Both however do not go out if there's a good chance of rain, however I prefer the H to get wet because the vette I have to clean it before I can put the cover back on.

Oh cool about the T let's see if it can persuade us it looks good.

Driving season of 2025 was cut short this year, at least 3-5 weeks short. We had a lot of snow last sunday, the day prior seeing the forecast I rushed things to get the H into storage, I put the car on the lift to put the panels back on as I wanted to keep an eye underneath for the next couple drives but it'll have to wait till spring. As I was driving to the place I saw a brave biker taking his last ride too and gave me the "biker's" salute, probably impressed too to see a bright orange exotic on a deadline.

The day the snow was announced I used the C7 in the morning to do a few errands, I could see the dark snow clouds in the distance while I was using the last hours of dry pavement. It was a perfect drive as the streets were almost empty as people were staying home before the storm. As I got home the snow started to fall, I put my winter tires on the truck and change the oil for winter. My clothes were wet from the wet falling snow. It came so early this year on many trees the leaves didn't have time to fall to the ground!

5 months without driving a sports car is sad. I'll take this time to order parts to replace the sump pump o-ring in the spring. Probably a 8-10 hour job just for an o-ring...

Feel good knowing the car is well pampered. 5 months is nothing & it will be May before you know it! I too took some time washing & waxing last week. I don't get snow here but the roads have salts so I don't plan driving much in the winter.

I never waxed a car, just a wash and dry. Any benefit to a wax? With all that rubbing like wax or other products I wonder if that's the reason why I see show cars with a million swirl marks?

What’s the width of your garage Sakura?

It is around 15 x 20 m & separated by two half wall. The half walls are basically acting as supporting pillars to withstand quakes.

The shorter side has two electric garage doors of around 4 m width (standard). So facing the car, the car has full wall on its right side with sliding glass door as inside entrance, and half wall on its left and back. Hope this explains it.

The one I use is a blend of carnauba. It is basically carnauba with a dilution. I like this type because it has the right thickness to stay on the surface and reach any uneven areas of the coating. The coating looks smoother and more glassy after I apply it.

Swirls usually happen when people use too much pressure, pick wax that is too hard for the coating, or use too little wax. Waxing also cannot be done well if the car is not washed properly. Many people try too hard to remove stubborn dirt during washing, when the correct way is to soften the dirt first. After washing, any leftover dirt should be diluted with wax and then wiped away.

If your car has ceramic coating, wax does not give real protection. It only adds shine. The coating already protects the paint and the maintenance products for the coating are enough.
