Finally some action on the G

Well....this started as a 'simple' egear to gated swap.
Once I dug into it, I ended up needing to repair most (not all are listed)
-Most bolt on frame components on pass side front
-front bumper core
-Front fascia
-both headlights
-wiper cowel
-pass frunk trim
-pass front upper and lower A-arm
-pass front knuckle
-pass front caliper
-pass front fender liner
-pass rear frame component (cut and weld
-pass rear axle
-both taillights
-all hubs and bearings
-upgraded to stainless brake lines
-rear fascia skeleton
-brake rotors and pads
Lots of crazy stuff. FIred right up when it was all together. Have to recode a few things from the swap, and something is up with the brakes, they work, but I think one of the new pad sensors is snagged.

Wow that's a lot of work! I see you worked on the suspension, had the bearings, ball joints or tie rods worn out?
One thing that scares me about the Gallardo is coding and proprietary scan tool not knowing how expensive is to buy the scan tool and not knowing how to operate it. They completely ignored OBD industry rules.
Even the earlier Huracans like mine have "illegal" programming. For example it's against OBD to have to reset the oil "service due" by a dealer, by OBD regulations anyone should be able to reset it. They disobeyed this rule. They had to comply with the EVO and tecnica. Fortunately I found a scan tool that can reset the "illegal" service due. A regular OBDII cannot reset the service due.

Looking good Bob! Man that is quite a list, what the hell happend? Sounds like you have everything sorted now though, I can imagine that first drive banging those gears will feel pretty rewarding!
The hubs/bearings/rotors/pads/stainless lines were a 'well, since I have this all torn down......' sorta thing.
The gallardo (and maybe other Lambos) can be coded with a little handheld called rosstech. I don't know about the serivce oil or clutch resets though. This allowed me to go in and chance the ECU codes to Manual. https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/hex-net.php
I bought the car knowing I would do a manual swap, it was part of the ultimate plan (I had actually bought some swap parts before I bought the car). But, I'm also a poor, so the only way I was going to get into an LP was to buy a salvage or high mileage car. This one seemed to have little damage and was repaired well (from what I could see). Upon tearing into it, I was very wrong.
Ha...no. Weekend projects are already lining up as the weather warms up.
Finally stopped raining here. Took the G for a backroad spin in all it's bumperless glory.
Only went about 4 or 5 miles, cruised decent at 90mph. Desperately needs an alignment (scheduled for next Tuesday).
Managed to kill a bunch of bugs.

That is one huge garage and awesome driveway! Lots of space and spotless too.
The G looks great too, especially with its weight reduction mod
