Beware this Sterrato!! Odometer had been altered! VIN: ZHWUG7ZF2RLA29728

In December, my wife and I almost bought a 2024 Sterrato from Goldcoast Lamborghini in Chicago. VIN: ZHWUG7ZF2RLA29728. The day we were to close the deal, and after I required a Diagnostic Report confirming mileage, the dealer (now owned by Fields Group) refused to sell the car as the Diagnostic report showed the mileage had been altered by the dealership's prior owner, Perillo. The true mileage per the ECU was 1,105 miles NOT the 458 that the odometer showed. I also learned that the car had been "Sold" to a customer in CA. It was shipped there in March, driven for a month or more, and when the customer could not pay, it was shipped back to Goldcoast -Perillo. I filed a formal complaint with Lamborghini Italy and was contacted by an executive from Fields Group who said the car would be returned to Perillo and that Lamborghini would not honor any warranty on the car given the odometer fraud.

Perillo is now offering to sell the car through its BMW Dealership. The webpage shows the mileage now as 1,105. I was told by Lambo-Italy the odometer could not be repaired to reflect what the ECU showed as correct mileage. What is even scarier is that Carfax offered by Perillo shows none of this. In fact, Carfax shows the mileage as 1,105 with NO Odometer issues and full remaining warranty in effect. This proves Carfax cannot be trusted!!

These commercial sites are largely misleading advertising platforms. Credit to you for doing proper due diligence. Many people have fallen into these traps. I also suspect the mileage is far higher than just 1,105 miles, likely from multiple coast to coast trips with quick fun stop at the Nevada desert.

Thanks for asking! Yes, we found one at Lambo-Dallas in late January (pic attached). Had it shipped up to us in WI and Xpel Stealth wrapped. Love it! Truly a fabulous car to drive.

I also just had a digital mirror with front and rear camera installed. Adding another post for that.

Ironically, a little more to add to the Perillo BMW story. On Feb 6th it looks like the dealership titled the car in IL with the fake mileage noted as "Actual Mileage" on the title! This blows my mind!
