It got me thinking would a body kit look nice on an LP610-4?

Body kit like a wing (never found an aftermarket I liked). I would love something like the STO or SVJ. A different style rear bumper, maybe a different front bumper like this tecnica style?

For some reason though it looks a little strange as the 610 has smooth curves but the aftermarket front bumper disrupts the smoothness with straight lines.

And about the body kit, you mean the skirt or the under spoiler? They look fine, but I passed on them. I can already imagine them scraping like crazy and being a nightmare to wash. Installation needs rivets which means punching holes. My OCD would explode. Also, absolutely no to those Liberty Walk type of body kit

I think the car can get away with an aftermarket wing, but that is about it. Those aftermarket bumpers or mismatched parts that look like a Frankenstein build are not really my cup of tea. Some people love that style though.

The most I ever did to my 580 was add an interior rollbar. It is a factory style cosmetic upgrade that looks pretty nice from the outside and it is great for mounting cameras. And aftermarket decal stripes if that can be called an addition.

I've been toying with a body kit idea for 2 years but I come back to earth soon after, these kits don't really enhance the beauty of the original shape of the car. One thing I'd like to try is pinstripes on the rear diffuser however I'm not certain it would look ridiculous or not.

Another problem I can't put a body kit on a real car what am I going to do with all my diecast models, they won't match!

The best thing about adding stripe decals is that if you do not like them, you can always peel them off later

I once tried permanent tire lettering decals on my Pirellis. I kept them for about 3 years or so. They looked cool at first, but later I got tired of babying them and trying not to smear them every time I used tire dressing. I do not think I will do that again

Speaking of upgrades, I am actually changing the rest of the lighting in my garage to LED spotlights. A few years ago I only upgraded the spotlight area under my Lambo, but the rest of the garage still uses regular lights. The whole job will cost around 4k and that includes repainting the ceiling. When the old light units are removed, they leave dark marks, so repainting is needed. I was thinking of doing the upgrade myself which would cut the cost in half, but I realized I am not that young anymore and the risk of falling and not being able to play instruments is just not worth it.

You are not young? Last time I saw a picture of you you looked like you were in your 40's!

Are your lights fluorescent tubes? If they are you can remove the ballast and re-wire them directly and install LED tubes. That's what I did in my garage this spring. It make a big difference, my fluorescents would fail after a few months because of the cold temperature in the winter.

If they are a different style could you just swap bulbs or something easy?

Yes, right now only one third of my garage has LED spotlights. They are recessed type, so holes had to be made for the units. The electrician suggested exactly what you recommended and the cost is about a third since no holes or repainting are needed. I could have done that one DIY as well, but I want the rest to look uniform like the section for the Lambo. I am also tired of replacing the fluorescent lights because they fail every few months just like your old ones.

I have the installation scheduled on the 19th this month. Repainting will be a few days after that. After my last bad experience with an AC installer, I told the guys that anyone rude would be sent to my torture chamber. It seems to work because they are now extremely polite and even sound a little submissive at times

I meant it literally about torture chamber. Made this stacks of cards and handing them down to every installers. I scared myself sometimes

What do you think about those engine vents or that dove tail? Also the last picture I see the guy painted his cross brace which I have seen before and I like it.

I was thinking maybe some wheel spacer too. Take not I would not lower the car like this one below but it has the spacers.

To me, those two top vents make it look like a STO wannabe and they probably add drag at high speed. So that one is a no from me.

The rear shape with the dove tail is not 911 and looks a bit strange. So that is another no.

Painting the cross brace can look great because it is just paint and not an aftermarket add on. So that one is a yes from me.

Rims and spacers come down to personal preference, so it depends on what you like.

Side intakes make it look like American cars like Corvette, so that is definitely a no.

The rear wing looks pretty good though. If you want the car to look more aggressive, maybe invest in a rear wing and a set of more aggressive rims. And stripes.

I'm very picky for wings, I like STO or SVJ style wings. That wing above and most of them like the one on the Performante reminds me of seagull wings. Not for me!

If you are not someone who feels the urge to clean every tiny speck, go for it Just keep in mind that those wheels will be a nightmare to keep spotless. I am more of a grey and black traditional wheel guy myself.

You think they'll get dirty a lot more than stock black wheels, maybe you mean the orange part? I have mimas wheels and they are not so easy to clean either because I have to brush the recessed rim behind every spoke, if you don't when they dry you see the dirt stick out.

Yes, the orange part.

Wheels are meant to get dirty, but when the dirt is very visible it can drive you a little crazy

Washing your car 3 or 4 times a year is very modest compared to me. I washed mine about 21 times last year. No swirls because there is very little dirt each time I wash it

Wow that's a lot of washes, you are going to wear out the paint! just kidding. It takes me about 2+ hours to wash the H. I have to place my work van to hide the car and use a bunch of cardboard too. I wash the exterior, the wheels, the frunk, the engine trim and even the bottom of the doors where no one will ever see and also where the hinges are. I used to wash the C7 a lot too 15 times I guess but now a lot less because I use it less often.

I don't have swirl marks on my black corvette and black is where you see it most because of the technique I use.

I think that looks cool. You can have the mimas painted so no need to spend for new wheels. Looking great while retaining original. Also if you add fluorescent pigment, the orange can glow at night
