Wow that's some serious money! Maybe just like an Aventador, even though it's not as good as a Huracan you buy it because of the aura and prestige?
A great Strad usually outperforms most modern violins, although condition matters and some examples are more average.
I think violins are not like cars. With supercars you have models and rankings, while with violins every single piece is very individual (unique) even if the maker and year are the same. Each violin develops its own personality over time like tone and projection. A great Strad do produce aura and prestige because they attract listeners and help sell concert tickets
