Has anybody DIY lowered their Huracan?

I'm halfway thru this process and have a couple of observations and a question or two...

The couple of videos I saw on this seemed to underestimate the de-pinning portion of removing the OEM springs. Man, that was kinda painful. See before/after pics. The pins/purple holder, etc took a beating so bad on the first one that I experimented on that I decided to scrap all 4 of them and replace with some Amazon versions (should've done that in the first place). Second, I had to remove the small intake snorkel (for lack of a better word) for the rear two shocks in order to get a tool on those top shock bolts (that wasnt mentioned in the couple videos I found on youtube). Those are the tips that I can offer at this point.

For my questions, did you guys align the car after lowering? I chose the H&R sport kit, which drops only .8" front and rear (not too much), and the stuff thats disturbed during install seems very minimal compared to other cars I've messed with.

Also, for those that have a 610-4 or equivalent, did you need to change/alter the ride level links (purchase adjustable "ghost" links)? I understand they were nec for newer cars but perhaps not for the older 610-4?

Hopefully somebody has done this silly mod like me and can chime in with some words of wisdom.

as for the pics, first is OEM undisturbed, second is after I butchered de-pinning/re-pinning and 3rd are the new connectors spliced on

That is crazy that it requires de-pinning/cutting to do this.
*note - I have zero experience lowering a huracan, I've never even sat in a huracan. I've once stood about 5' away from one.
That being said, even a .8" adjustment in ride height will require an alignment. Granted, it isn't much, and you may only notice very minimal improper wear on the tires, but given the performance of these cars, I'd want to have it re-aligned.

lol - apprec the feedback. Its even more crazy that I am lowering a car that I have to fall into already...and will likely cause issues with lifting on the quickjacks (prob need to put on small blocks before lifting), etc...but I got a little bored and I kinda enjoy messing with stuff, so here I am. I generally do exhaust/wheels/lower/tint everything I have.

Why did you need to remove the pins from the connector?

As for an alignment for about $100 they'll check the alignment and you'll see if you need to adjust it.

I have a set of professional pin removal tool :

in order to pull the orig springs off, u have to pull the wiring for adaptive suspension thru a small hole in the “tophat/eyelet”. Wire barely fits even depinned…i think u can see what i’m talkin about in the last pic

Yeah - i guess its worth the $100-$150 to align to make sure things are good. My tires are like new and would suck to trash them prematurely

I bought a $10 set of depin tools from amazon…they worked ok to me (maybe not?), but it was a destructive process when I was doing it anyway

The key is finding the exact pick and extreme patience. When you are about to kick the car I cut the damn thing off and I solder regular connectors and heat shrink.

My kit incl about 80 of those flimsy keys that all seemed about the same. I definitely should've just cut them off right from the start
