So back on the topic of collectibes and such...@Luzifer I guess sometimes the stars just align. I was looking on ebay this morning and I came across this MR 1/18 Huracan Performante model in black with orange calipers/orange interior that's very close to my spec (besides not having centerlock wheels). So I quickly grabbed it. My friend knows a local guy who creates all kinds of parts for model cars so I'm going to see if he can fab some loge style centerlock wheels for me. Grateful I found this I had been searching for a while.

You hit the jackpot! Awesome news, that's sure to be a rare one. Does it state if it's numbered? If not it might be a model for someone who bought a perf from Lambo.

I'm not sure about the numbered aspect, but it says "one off dealer model in white box with certificate" so I'd say it was a customer car who purchased a new Lambo. I can only see the top page of the certificate that shows the model, date it was inspected and signature of who inspected it. Very reputable seller with 100% feedback and has been selling models since 2003. It looks very very nice, I couldn't believe my luck.

I decided to order an official Lambo baseball cap and immediately noticed it wasn't well made. The lettering is askew and stitching isn't all that straight as seen below. The materials are good quality though. The cap sit way too high, you can see my diy sewn on patch the cap has a better head shape.

I'm sending it back for a refund. The camera doesn't capture the colors properly, the official cap isn't as bright as seen here but it's way too orange and looks like they subcontracted to the cheapest bidder.

I'm still fighting the issue with the hat, the seller sent me a return label that wasn't valid here and I asked for a UPS one but after a week my message was ignored so I had to file a chargeback claim through paypal. I still need to wait another 10 days to see the outcome. What a long process.

Are you certain it's authentic?? It sounds like you purchased it from a third party seller. There's a TON of fake merchandise being sold as the real thing on platforms like Amazon and eBay even if the seller/vendor appears reputable. Especially if the cost is a lot less than what Lamborghini sells it for directly or via authorized dealerships. For something like this, I would only purchase directly from Lamborghini. It's a bit more expensive, but at least you're guaranteed an authentic product. I noticed the hat design looks a bit different than the official squadra cap being sold on Grand Touring accessories boutique:

There's a TON of fake merchandise being sold as the real thing on platforms like Amazon and eBay even if the seller/vendor appears reputable. Especially if the cost is a lot less than what Lamborghini sells it for directly or via authorized dealerships. For something like this, I would only purchase directly from Lamborghini. It's a bit more expensive, but at least you're guaranteed an authentic product. It's legit. Who knows if a defect slipped through. Even though it's official some Lambo things are made in 3rd world countries.

We need to have a joint video where we sent these terrible items from scammers to hell's lava. Them burning and blowing up to ash would be the most satisfying.

Glad you got your money back. Just curious, did the ebay seller have any other negative or neutral reviews? Usually there's warning signs to stay away from certain sellers.

If you're in Canada I'm scratching my head why you didn't just buy your hat from here, it probably would've been cheaper as well and they even have a physical location in Montreal:

My usual goto is ebay or amazon. I rarely buy from sites I don't know to lower the chance of fraud, it doesn't mean your CC will protect you all the time. Plus if anyone steals your identity you are screwed for the rest of your life paying for someone else and fighting day in and day out trying to prove your innocence. I see too many shows where people got their identity stolen and it's hell, even after years or decade they still have to contest charges that fall on deaf ears.

Last I don't really want to encourage Lambo dealers up here with what goes on behind the curtain. First thing I did when I bought the car was ditch the dealer licence plate frame and scraped off the dealer sticker in the windshield.

All you need to do now is tilt your head slightly to the left. If that doesn’t work, tilt your glasses a bit too if you wear one, and raise your left eyebrow just a touch. Perfectly proportioned hat achieved
